Tap + in the watch box. Enter the brand and model; if Watch Winder recognises it, it offers the movement and its power reserve. Pick hand-wound or automatic, set when you'd like a reminder, and say whether it's wound, on your wrist, on a winder or stopped right now.

Search our movement list, check the manual, or look up the calibre on the maker's website. Enter it by hand if it isn't listed.

Open the watch and press and hold the crown button until it's fully wound. You can also swipe right on a watch in the list, use the Wound button on a reminder, the Apple Watch app, or ask Siri.

Tap Wear It when you put the watch on and Take It Off when it comes off. While worn, the reserve climbs at your charge rate (four hours per hour worn by default); once off, it counts down. Adjust the rate in Settings if your watches stop earlier or later than predicted.

Check Settings › Notifications › Watch Winder is allowed, and that the watch has a reminder time set (edit the watch › Remind me). A watch on a winder or on your wrist doesn't need reminding, so it won't get any.

Quiet hours move reminders that would fall at night to the evening before, and stopped alerts to the next morning. Change or turn off quiet hours in Settings.

Open Watch Winder on your iPhone once with both devices nearby; the iPhone sends your collection to the watch. Make sure the Apple Watch app is installed from the Watch app on your iPhone.

Touch and hold the Home Screen or Lock Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and choose Watch Winder.

Try “I wound my [watch] in Watch Winder”, “I'm wearing my [watch] in Watch Winder” and “I took off my [watch] in Watch Winder”. Wearing actions are for automatics.

Open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account you bought it with. Pro is shared with your Family Sharing group.
